Leadership

JAN SCHMITT

Jan Schmitt is an industrial designer recognized for his commitment to excellence and passion for innovative design solutions. In 2024, he founded Sandbox, a design firm dedicated to delivering exceptional products to a diverse range of companies.

Prior to Sandbox, Jan held key roles in Silicon Valley, including Head of Design at Nonda Inc and Lead Designer at Huge Design. His education includes studies at the School of Design Münster in Germany and the prestigious Politecnico di Milano in Italy.

Jan's designs have earned numerous accolades, including the iF Design Awards, RedDot Design Awards, and A'Design Awards. His work has been featured in publications like Designboom and Yanko Design and exhibited in design exhibitions in Shenzen, Budapest, Mumbai, Seoul, Hamburg, Como and more.

With Sandbox, Jan continues to pursue his passion for design, collaborating with companies of all sizes to bring their visions to life and deliver top-notch products to market.
